Senior Competition Structures Confirmed

AFL South Coast is pleased to be able to confirm the Senior Competition structures for the 2019 season.

For the first time ever, the senior competitions will see five divisions of football with three Men’s divisions and two Women’s divisions.

The Men’s divisions will consist of seven teams each in Premier Division and Division One and six teams in Division Two for a total of twenty mens sides. This is the most men’s teams fielded in AFL South Coast history and is two up on last year with the entry of additional teams from the Wollongong Bulldogs and Port Kembla.

After a ground breaking year in 2018, this year will see thirteen Women’s teams competing across two divisions with the introduction of four new teams including Shellharbour City Suns, Albion Park Crows, Bay and Basin Bombers and a second Wollongong Bulldogs team.

Premier Division will feature seven teams like the men’s competition while the Division One competition will showcase six.
