What is one thing that we don’t know about this Rising Star that they are well known for around the club? Dedication to training and drills never giving up and follows GWS

What role do they play for the club both on and off the field? Olivia would be an asset to any club. She is always asking where she can help out on and off the field. From helping set up on home games to being in the canteen, Olivia is always willing to help out in any way.

The night before the game what will they most likely be doing? Eating KFC

Do they have any pre-game superstitions? Not that we are aware of!

Reason for nomination this round: Olivia is nominated for her best on ground performance in the tough game against the Wollongong Saints last week where she played both in the midfield and in the backline. Olivia really stood up and by playing her role she had a major influence on the game which included scoring the first goal of her career!

Club quote on Nomination: “Having turned just 18 in January, Olivia joined the Northern Districts Tigers after a couple of her friends that played with the Tigers in 2018 encouraged her to come to training. Olivia being an all-rounder in sports, played a little in High School but was keen to take it further and play with a club that plays for fun. She loved the initial training and decided she would play full time with the Tigers in 2019. Olivia is an absolute all-rounder and we could play her anywhere on the field and she would thrive. We have no doubt people will be hearing Olivia’s name in representative circles in the years to come, if not this year. Olivia is a respected member of the Women’s Premier Division squad and is set to be a future star of the game at both the local and representative level.”

What is one thing that we don’t know about this Rising Star that they are well known for around the club? Has the best man bun at the club. Also the coach is yet to say my last name correctly when reading out the teams before the game.

What role do they play for the club both on and off the field? Just getting around all the boys whether they are new or old, the social side is what makes the club!

The night before the game what will they most likely be doing? Probably having an early night and waking up to a nice B&E roll

Do they have any pre-game superstitions? Continually calling the coach and asking for some midfield time.

Reason for nomination this round: Jaad is nominated for his best on ground performance in the tough Round 2 match against Northern Districts. Jaad played both on the wing and in the forward line, stepping up his role to have a major influence on the game. Jaad’s speed and attack on the football resulted in multiple inside 50 entries and a cracking goal on the run.

Coach quote on Nomination: “The nomination is well deserved for Jaad. His game on the weekend against Northern Districts demonstrated his ability to run and break lines and drive the ball forward. Jaad has had a strong pre-season upon returning to his junior club and has become an integral member of the squad. He plays team first football looking to bring other members of the team into the game, and is constantly seeking feedback on his own performance to improve. I am looking forward to seeing what Jaad can achieve this year along with the rest of the 2019 Figtree Kangaroos.”
