South Coast GIANTS Female Academy Announcement

AFL South Coast is extremely excited to announce that for the first time ever, the South Coast will host a GIANTS Academy program in the region for young female athletes! This program is the first step in providing a suitable talent pathway for South and Sapphire Coast junior female players to play at the highest level in years to come.

This female Development program will run for 8 weeks (a two week break over school holidays) and will commence on Thursday 12th September with training held weekly at Ulladulla Sports Park from 5:45pm.

This program is open to females who live between Berry in the north all the way to the NSW and Victorian border in the south and who were born in 2005, 2006 or 2007  (i.e. athletes turning 12, 13 or 14 this year). Consideration for females 1 year younger or 1 year older can be sought by contacting Ash Moeller (AFL NSW/ACT Female Football Talent Pathway Manager).

The program fee is just $100 per athlete (which has been partially subsidised by AFL South Coast) with each registered participant to receive a football, GIANTS hoodie and shorts.

Places for this exciting program are limited so please get in quick to avoid missing out. Of note, candidates do not have to be  registered with a local club to apply. This may be a great opportunity to assist clubs in recruiting talented female athletes from other codes for 2020 and beyond.
